Stephen B. Glenn is an aviation attorney based at Barnett Law Offices at the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport in Birmingham, Alabama (BHM). Mr. Glenn represents pilots and mechanics in enforcement actions before the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board. He represents victims and their families in claims resulting from aviation accidents. He also counsels aircraft owners and operators in business formation and the purchasing and leasing of aircraft. In addition, Mr. Glenn advocates for tenants and service providers on public airports.
Mr. Glenn began his aviation career in 1987 as a flight test engineering assistant for Lockheed in Marietta, Georgia, working on the C-5, C-141 and C-130 aircraft. He then worked for the United States Air Force as a flight test engineer at Edwards Air Force Base on the F-16 fighter. Mr. Glenn first soloed an aircraft in 1986. He has flown professionally for corporate aircraft operators and three different airlines. He is a CFI and CFII, and holds an ATP with type ratings in the EMB-120, 757/767, MD-11 and 777 aircraft. Currently employed as an airline pilot operating 777F aircraft in international service for Fedex Express. Over 12,500 hours of flight time without accident or incident. He also has logged flight time in more than 57 different aircraft models. He is married with four children.
Mr. Glenn is active in numerous aviation and law organizations, including the AOPA Legal Services Panel, the Lawyer Pilots Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar, the National Business Aircraft Association, the Experimental Aviation Association, the Vintage Aircraft Association (Oshkosh volunteer for 17 years), the Commemorative Air Force, and the Air Line Pilots Association, International.
